From the mass of the equipment and the material it carries, plus the amplitude and frequency the process needs. Send us the trough or hopper dimensions, the material and the throughput and we will size the unit and recommend a force setting.
An out of balance vibrator motor with adjustable eccentric weights, sized to the table mass. Pole speed matters as much as power, because it determines whether you get large slow movement or small fast movement.
A vibrating feeder moves bulk material along a trough using controlled vibration, giving a steady and adjustable feed rate into the next stage of a process. It replaces the surging and blocking you get from a plain gravity chute.
In bulk handling the common families are vibratory, belt, screw and apron feeders. Vibratory feeders suit dry, free flowing and abrasive material and offer easy rate control, which is why they are so widespread in quarrying and recycling.
Separating bulk material by particle size. Material is fed onto a vibrating deck, undersize falls through the mesh and oversize travels across it. Screens are core equipment in quarrying, aggregates and recycling.
Quarrying, aggregates, mining, recycling, waste management, animal feed and food processing. All of them are sectors we work with, and all of them run vibrator motors hard.
Governed by the bearings, which take continuous out of balance loading. Manufacturers state it in running hours. Treat bearing replacement as scheduled maintenance rather than something you run to failure and the motor itself lasts a long time.
Material arches over the outlet and stops flowing, which damp or fine material does readily. A correctly sized hopper vibrator breaks the arch and restores steady flow, which is safer and quicker than hammering the hopper wall.
Standard industrial units run from a three phase supply, with single phase versions available for smaller applications. Tell us what supply is available at the machine and we will specify accordingly.
Yes, and speed control is a useful way to tune the vibration frequency to the material. Say so when ordering so the unit is specified for inverter duty rather than fixed speed.
Rigidly, on a flat machined face, with fixings torqued to specification. The mountings take continuous cyclic loading, so bolts should be rechecked after the first few running hours and then at regular intervals. Loose fixings are the usual cause of cracked housings.
In the UK at our Grantham facility, where they have been made since 1946. We are the only UK manufacturer of vibrator motors, which is also why repair parts are held here rather than imported.
