When faced with a variety of pump manufacturers and choices where do you turn for advice? Come and discuss your application with us to see how we can help.

When selecting new pumps for your application there are many things to consider aside from the duty requirements. Initial cost may be one consideration but what about ongoing spares availability and support?

At this stage come and talk to us, we work with many world leading pump manufacturers to bring you the most up to date pump technology for your plant. Whether it is energy saving you are looking for with the use of built in inverters or upgrades to existing plant using booster sets and control panels we have the expertise to be able to support you.

Even if you consider your existing pump beyond repair please still talk to us to see what we can do with your old unit, especially giving you the opportunity to hold it as a spare. Our pump repair and servicing team can often rebuild a unit rather than replace it.

Yes, and for industrial pumps it is normally the economic route. Vanes, bearings, seals, shafts and the drive motor can all be dealt with, and the rebuilt pump is tested against its rated performance before it goes back.

Loss of vacuum from worn vanes or a failed seal, contaminated or degraded oil, blocked filters, overheating and bearing wear. Oil condition is the single best early indicator of what is happening inside.

Many years in industrial service if the oil and filters are maintained. What shortens it is running against a restriction, drawing contaminants through the pump, and leaving degraded oil in place past its interval.

Well maintained industrial pumps commonly run for a decade or more. Seal and bearing changes at the right interval, and correct suction conditions, matter far more to that figure than the age of the unit.

Worn vanes, a leaking seal, contaminated oil, a blocked filter, or a leak in the pipework rather than the pump itself. It is worth checking the system before condemning the pump.

It depends on the vacuum level, the flow rate and what is being drawn through the pump. Rotary vane, liquid ring and claw pumps all suit different duties. Tell us the application and we will advise rather than send a catalogue.

At the manufacturer's stated running hours, with oil condition as the trigger in between. Discoloured or emulsified oil means the service is due early whatever the hour meter says.

Running against a restriction, low or degraded oil, a blocked cooler or filter, or a failed cooling fan. Heat degrades the oil quickly, which then accelerates wear on the vanes and bearings.

Yes, and it usually makes sense. When a pump comes in with a failed drive we test the motor at the same time, so you are not back a month later with a burnt out winding.

It depends on the fault and whether vanes and seals are on the shelf. We strip and inspect first, then give you a firm date rather than an estimate that slips.

Supporting and moving the belt or the load. We supply and repair drum rollers alongside pumps, including custom sizes machined to your dimensions.

Our Grantham and Peterborough workshops both handle pump repair, covering Lincolnshire, Cambridgeshire and the East Midlands, with collection available for heavier units.
